The Brazilian Intellectual Property Association – ABPI has just signed a memorandum of understanding with the Delegation of Brazil to the World Trade Organization and other Economic Organizations in Geneva (DELBRASOMC) to nominate candidates for the International Trade Training Program. For the first time, the program, which focuses on the activities of the WTO and other economic organizations based in Geneva (UNCTAD, WIPO and ITU), will focus on issues related to Intellectual Property. According to the announcement, five vacancies will be offered to candidates from the public sector and some to representatives of the private sector that can be filled by ABPI associates through the partnership. The activities of Class 45 of the Training Program will take place from April 27, 2020 to July 17, 2020 and enrollments must be made by February 28. Among the requirements for the application, in addition to the mastery of English and other languages, the notice includes higher education, preferably in Law, International Relations, Economics, Public Relations and Foreign Trade or other courses combined with a postgraduate or specialization in matters linked to international economic organizations. “For the participants, the training program is a unique, real and practical experience about the challenges of Brazilian diplomacy in Geneva in the field of intellectual property”, comments associate Benny Spiewak, who has already participated in the Training Program and cooperated with the celebration of the memo. Those interested in participating in the program must know the terms of the notice, following the application guidelines indicated there.
