IP Valuation

The IP Valuation Study Committee focuses on expanding the scope of work on the economic dimension of Intellectual Property, fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue among the fields of law, economics, and finance.

Its objective is to examine how the financial value of trademarks, patents, and other tangible and intangible rights can be assessed strategically and incorporated into business decision-making. The group’s work agenda will include an in-depth analysis of valuation methods, as well as their direct applications to new business ventures and alternative financing solutions.
