The ABPI Commission for Technology Transfer and Franchising analysis contracts that will be registered before the National Institute of Industrial Property – INPI. The steps include registration in the Central Bank and the payment of royalties abroad. To meet the demands of its Associates, regarding the requirements of the registration process, the Commission acts as an interface alongside with the INPI Department of Contracts’ Coordinator.

The developments on technology transfer contracts, such as the eventual need to submit such contracts to CADE, are debated within the Commission which in turn, conveys the decisions of competent bodies and also the jurisprudence in the area.
