Gender configurations, sexuality, intersexuality, genital body and other concepts related to diversity animated yesterday’s debate at the ABPI webinar on “LGBTQIA+ Employability Diversity as power”. The event, organized by Isabella Cardozo, Joana de Mattos Siqueira, Monique Batista Bastos and Pedro Vilhena, from ABPI’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, had as speaker Mikkel Mergener, from Mikkel Mergener Consultoria & Tutoria.

Mikkel, who defines himself as a non-binary trans person, emphasized that LG+TBQIA cannot be used as identity possibilities, therefore, the symbol “gender identity or exclusive/sexual exclusivity socially protected and, by others, discriminated against. In his presentation, Mikkel welcomes some of the future challenges of identity classes, including validation and social respect, overcoming document bureaucracy, obtaining license benefits and inclusion and inclusion in selection processes and career development. To face these adversities, he cited some powers that distinguish LGBTQIA+ people, such as self-knowledge, authenticity, adaptability, intelligence, resilience and resistance.

During the event, the participants were divided into groups for debaters considered dear to those who do not fit the cis-heteronormative standard. Among those dealing with issues, issues of how to deal with homophobic issues, compulsory heterosexuality, intersectionalities and toilets in toilets
