The president of the ABPI-Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property, Luiz Edgard Montaury Pimenta, and the vice president of the entity, Gabriel Leonardos, participated this Wednesday, 04, in the first meeting of the GIPI (Interministerial Group on Intellectual Property) to discuss the Action Plan 2021-2023 of the National Intellectual Property Strategy (ENPI). At the meeting, the ABPI drew attention to the budget limitation of the INPI – National Institute of Industrial Property and defended the financial autonomy of the agency.

Created by Decree No. 9,931 of July 23, 2019, the GIPI is responsible for the preparation and implementation of ENPI, being made up of representatives from 16 ministries and partner agencies of the Technical Group.
