Enrollments for the 1st PI in Schools Award are open and are open until the end of November, which aims to promote the inclusion of intellectual property in private and public schools, at the federal, state and municipal levels, through recognition and valuing teachers and managers. Prepared by INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property), and part of the National Intellectual Property Strategy, with institutional support from the Ministries of Economy; of Education; and for Science, Technology and Innovation, the I PI nas Escolas Award has a pedagogical-educational nature. The purpose is to identify, value and disseminate educational experiences to raise awareness about the importance of intellectual property in everyday life, in the form of opportunities and challenges they assume for children and young people, as inventors or consumers.
The notice is aimed at awarding entrepreneurship and innovation projects implemented by teachers or managers of kindergarten, secondary and technical education, which also involve the encouragement of the generation and protection of Intellectual Property in schools. The projects will compete by Region of Brazil in which the respective educational institution is located, in the following categories:
Creativity – Education for innovation and artistic production;
Citizenship – Education for a culture of respect for creation;
Technology – Education for science and innovation;
Planet – Education for the sustainable and innovative use of natural resources;
Business – Education for entrepreneurship.
