The Committee on Industrial Design Studies has been working towards the improvement and correct application of the guidelines from the Industrial Design Manual – National Institute of Industrial Property – INPI, published in January 2019, and Sections 94 to 121 of the Law 9,279, from May 14th, 1996 (Industrial Property Law – LPI).
The Commission also monitors the main updates from foreign agencies and offices, in quest to implement in Brazil a standard Industrial Design guideline adopted globally. This guideline would respect international treaties and conventions, which Brazil is part of.
