ABPI Launches the Young IP Professionals Committee

ABPI has launched the Young IP Professionals Committee with the goal of attracting new talent and emphasizing the importance of Intellectual Property. Establishing a strong connection between young professionals and ABPI is essential for the sector’s growth, ensuring knowledge continuity and strengthening the IP community.

The new committee is led by Jéssica Pinheiro Oyarzábal, who is also a member of ABPI’s Intellectual Property International Law Study Committee, alongside Ana Luiza Brigagão.

With this initiative, ABPI aims to double the number of young professionals, who currently make up around 12% of its members.

Young professionals up to 35 years old already benefit from a special membership fee and, in return, gain access to a comprehensive content platform, including congresses, workshops, newsletters, legal journals, study committees, partnerships, as well as networking and participation in discussions—even on an international level.

This initiative is a win-win opportunity. Young professionals not only expand their knowledge in IP but also enhance their networking, connecting with experienced members of the global IP community—an essential step for career growth.

For ABPI and the Intellectual Property field as a whole, welcoming young professionals brings renewal and fresh perspectives, fostering innovation and new ideas.

Visit ABPI’s website to explore the Young IP Professionals Committee page and the “Become a Member” section, where you’ll find exclusive benefits for professionals up to 35 years old.
