The International Law Studies Committee is dedicated to exam the interface of the international law and geopolitical issues related to Intellectual Property, such as the signing and ratification of treaties, as well as decisions taken within the WTO – World Trade Organization and other bilateral and multilateral international bodies. Within this scope, the Study Committee in International Law also opens itself to international cooperation in the area, such as, for example, the work carried out by intellectual property attaches.
The Committee also monitor and discuss international legal frameworks relating to copyrights, trademarks, patents and other intellectual property rights, as well as analyzing the interests involved in the different ways of legislating and applying intellectual rights in Brazil vis-à-vis the international scenario.
