The Observatory of Technologies Related to Covid-19, from the National Institute of Industrial Property – INPI is publishing a study on patent applications for pulmonary ventilators filed in Brazil. Produced by the Institute’s Division of Studies and Projects and Dissemination of Technological Information, the Directorate of Patents, Computer Programs and Topographies of Integrated Circuits, the study presents an overview of patent applications, depositors and technologies, using a request code pending analysis and in force in the country.
The study shows that 856 applications were raised, 332 are pending applications or patents granted 10 in Brazil.
Regarding patent applications awaiting technical examination, it is important to remember that, according to an ordinance published on April 7, 2020, INPI is prioritizing patent applications related to Covid-19.
The methodology and all data are available in plans, as a source of technological information and market analysis for institutions that develop and / or produce mechanical fans in Brazil.
