The hypothetical case for the 4th CSD-ABPI Moot is now available on the competition’s official website. This year’s scenario—titled “Request to Initiate Arbitration Proceedings Involving a Dispute Between Companies, Startups, and Influencers Concerning Games and User-Generated Content (UGC)”—is highly topical and reflects the legal complexities of today’s digital economy.
“The growing relevance of the gaming industry, coupled with the central role of UGC and the influence of content creators in promoting and monetizing these materials, has led to increasingly complex disputes involving Intellectual Property, contracts, liability, and the permissible use of platforms and digital tools,” explains Vinícius Pavan Lessa Silva, Secretary-General of CSD-ABPI.
“By proposing this scenario, the Organizing Committee aims to foster academic and practical debate on contemporary and legally sophisticated issues, encouraging participants to critically examine the role of arbitration in innovative and rapidly evolving sectors.”
