Patent of the Year Award Also Covers Partnerships with Science, Technology and Innovation Institutions (ICTs)
Entries for the 7th ABPI Patent of the Year Award 2026 close on July 3. The 2026 edition has broadened its scope and will recognize inventions resulting from partnerships between universities and companies, startups and companies, and Science, Technology and Innovation Institutions (ICTs) and companies.
If the patent results from collaboration among science, research, and the marketplace, this is an opportunity to showcase an innovation that has a tangible impact on Brazil. The Award aims to recognize the work of professionals and companies that understand the importance of intellectual property and seek protection for their creations in Brazil.
Organized in partnership with the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (INPI), the Award is part of ABPI’s activities under the National Intellectual Property Strategy (ENPI) and its participation in the Interministerial Intellectual Property Group (GIPI), a body linked to the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC).
The 7th ABPI Patent of the Year Award 2026 will be presented during the ABPI Global Meeting on Innovation and Intellectual Property.
