Brigadeiro (chocolate fudge candy), cheese bread, açaí in the bowl, Minas cheese, Capoeira teaching, and Chorinho concerts are some of the 668 descriptions of typical Brazilian products and services included in the Madrid Goods and Services Manager (MGS), a classifier of products and services from WIPO that, when accessed, ensures that offices in other countries do not grant the title of ‘exclusive trademark’ to products and services which are typical of Brazil. The work was an initiative of employees of the BPTO Trademark Directorate who integrate the teams of the Madrid Protocol and the Product and Service Classification Commission (CCPS) in a partnership with WIPO.
