Registration is open for companies, law firms, and other entities interested in sponsoring the 2nd CSD-ABPI Moot, an intellectual property arbitration competition promoted by ABPI (the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association) Dispute Resolution Center. To become a sponsor, access the event website on https://www.csdabpi.org.br/moot/patrocinadores.asp?secao=Patrocinadores&subsecao=Tabela&tipo=Valores and choose the support category, with extensive returns for promoting the sponsors’ institutional brand. The registration deadline for those interested in sponsoring the event is May 13th.
The teams can individually count on their sponsors and must indicate the sponsoring entity to the event organizer.
Based on the simulation of an arbitration proceeding involving a hypothetical conflict of Intellectual Property rights, the 2nd CSD-ABPI Moot will be held on July 23 – 31 this year. Teams from educational institutions offering an undergraduate or graduate degree in Law, law firms from any Brazilian state formally constituted before the OAB (Brazilian Bar Association), and academic/student organizations or associations may participate in the tournament.
The only one of its kind with an exclusive focus on IP arbitration, ABPI’s CSD- Moot was conceived along the lines of renowned tournaments of its kind and will be held again this year due to the resounding success of the first edition in 2021.
