The BPTO maintains discounts on services

The BPTO decided to maintain discounts for specific users, following the model in the previous 2014 Schedule of Fees. The measure was formalized by Resolution No. 251, published in the Industrial Property Magazine (RPI) of October, 8th, 2019, retroactive to October 2nd. The 60% reduction in amounts paid for the BPTO services is valid for natural persons; microenterprises, individual micro-entrepreneurs, and small businesses; cooperatives; educational and research institutions; non-profit entities as well as public agencies. Those who were entitled to the discount and paid the full amount can request the refund of the difference, following the procedure described in this link.
