New Directors Appointed to CSD-ABPI Chambers
The year 2025 began with leadership changes in two chambers of ABPI’s Dispute Resolution Center (CSD-ABPI).The Arbitration Chamber (CArb-ABPI) will now be led by Flávia Benzatti Tremura Polli Rodrigues, with Cesar Rossi Machado as Deputy Director.
Meanwhile, the Digital Law Chamber (CDD) welcomes Clara Affeld as its new Deputy Director.
Flávia is an attorney and industrial property agent, a partner at Kasznar Leonardos, and has been working in the intellectual property field since 2004. A professor and author of multiple book chapters and articles on civil procedure, arbitration, and intellectual property, she holds a master’s degree in Civil Procedural Law and specialized in Intellectual Property Rights Protection in 2017 through a program offered by HIDA.
Cesar Rossi Machado is a partner in Demarest’s Dispute Resolution practice, handling numerous litigation and arbitration cases involving contracts, civil liability, environmental law, industrial property, and administrative law. He holds a master’s degree in Litigation, Arbitration, and ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) from Université Panthéon-Assas in Paris, France, a law degree from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, and is a trained mediator.
Clara Affeld is the Privacy and Cybersecurity Consultant for Latin America at Uber. A law graduate with a postgraduate degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), she has extensive experience in privacy, data protection, and technology, advising on innovative projects and strategic initiatives in the region. Before joining Uber, she was responsible for privacy and intellectual property at a health startup and worked in law firms. She has also participated in international competitions and programs, including the Oxford Intellectual Property Moot, where she took on the role of coach and arbitrator.
