Guerra is the new president of Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense

On November 12th, lawyer Alberto Jerônimo Guerra Neto was elected for the presidency of Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense with 57.9% of the votes, for the three-year term 2023/2025. The new leader is already working on setting up the soccer department and has plans to bring notorious names in international soccer to the Rio Grande do Sul club. “Taking care of a club of this size is a great responsibility. We will spare no effort to place Grêmio where all its supporters want it”, said Guerra.

With more than 30 years of experience in Intellectual Property, Guerra was one of the Coordinators of ABPI’s Intellectual Property and Sports Committee. He holds a degree in Legal and Social Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of the State of Rio Grande do Sul – PUC/RS and an expert diploma in Industrial Property (Diplôme du Center d’Etdudes Internationales de la Propriété Industrielle – C.E.I.P.I.) from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Strasbourg, Robert Schumann University.

Experience with Grêmio is not lacking for the newly elected. At the club, he has held the position of Legal Director, Legal Vice President, Director of Soccer, and Vice President of Soccer.
