Changes in the leadership of the Mediation Chamber (CMed) of the ABPI’s Dispute Resolution Center (CSD-ABPI) bring Karin Klempp Franco as the new director. Marcos Chucralla Moherdaui Blasi will now assume the position of deputy director.
Karin has been involved in corporate law since 1996, focusing on intellectual property, personal data protection, business contracts, commercial law, and alternative methods of conflict resolution. She is an arbitrator, mediator, and expert in domain name dispute resolution for several institutions. Additionally, she teaches at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Facamp – Faculdades Campinas. Karin is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and holds a Fellowship in International Commercial Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) – London.
Marcos Blasi holds a doctorate in Commercial Law from USP and an MBA in Knowledge, Technology & Innovation from FIA – Fundação Instituto de Administração (Institute of Administration Foundation). Besides being a lawyer, he is a professor and speaker in the Intellectual Property, New Technologies Law, Contract Law, Corporate Law, and Innovation Management areas. Blasi also has additional experience in pro bono legal practice (including mediation), in intergovernmental organizations focused on development law, and in regulatory and capital market areas. He has worked in the field of intellectual property since 2003, in specialized law firms and companies, in advisory and contractual matters, as well as in litigation.
