ABPI’s Congress in Foz do Iguaçu already registers foreigners’ demand
The largest and most important event of its kind in Latin America will have three thematic axes: energy, agribusiness and piracy, all inserted in the context of the Disruptive Technologies of the New Economy
Registration is now open for ABPI’s International Congress on Intellectual Property, which will take place from August 22 to 25, 2020, in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil, and will have as its anchor theme “Intellectual Property and the Disruptive Technologies of the New Economy”. Those who register by March 31st will enjoy special conditions, such as payment in up to six installments. The event is already attracting interest not only from participants from all over Latin America but also from North America, Europe, Asia, and even Oceania.
Thematic axes
The largest and most important event of its kind in Latin America will have three thematic axes: energy, agribusiness and piracy, all inserted in the context of the Disruptive Technologies of the New Economy. The scientific meeting of ABPI’s Study Committees, as well as the plenary sessions and panels of ABPI’s 40th Congress, will discuss typical Intellectual Property topics, such as trademarks, patents, copyrights and technology transfer, among others, often linked to technological innovations’ disruptive processes, such as artificial intelligence, internet of things and big data. The congress is an opportunity for participants to interact with experts and update their knowledge on the subject.
Stage of major international events, Foz do Iguaçu, in addition to the unique beauty of the Iguaçu Falls, stands out for the Itaipu Technological Park (PTI), which is next to one of the largest engineering works in the world, the Itaipu Hydroelectric Plant. The Park integrates educational and research institutions, government entities and private companies in the search for scientific and technological development of innovation, technical qualification, and the strengthening of productive activities in the region. In partnership with national and international institutions, PTI carries out projects in several areas of knowledge.
