ABPI supports Chambers of Corporate Law in Rio at the TJ-RJ
The creation of Chambers specialized in Corporate Law, within the scope of the Rio de Janeiro State Court of Appeals (TJ-RJ), was the keynote of the meeting of ABPI’s president, Luiz Edgard Montaury Pimenta, on April 21st with the president of TJ-RJ, judge Henrique de Andrade Figueira, and judge Elton Martinez Carvalho Leme, the incumbent of the 17th Civil Chamber of TJ-RJ, with the participation of Felipe Dannemann Lundgren, president of the Industrial Property Commission of OAB-RJ.
As is already the case in São Paulo, the implementation of Corporate Chambers, which includes Intellectual Property, is an old ABPI claim and is getting closer and closer to coming true. Andrade Figueira accepted the invitation to attend ABPI’s 2021 International Congress on Intellectual Property, to be held on August 23rd – 26th, to address the matter, which, until then, he believes will have already evolved.
