ABPI and EMERJ promote an extension course in intellectual property
Registrations for the Extension Course in Intellectual Property are open until August 22. The course is promoted by ABPI (Brazilian Intellectual Property Association) and EMERJ (Rio de Janeiro State Magistracy School) and will have the participation of members of the judiciary. It will be coordinated by Luiz Edgard Montaury Pimenta, former president of ABPI, and the lawyer Renata Lisboa, a member of the association’s Council.
“The course will bring current topics and qualified professors. Its great differential is the attendance of judges and ministers. The participation of all enhances the course and brings to light the main discussions on the various topics of intellectual property in courts”, commented Montaury Pimenta.
“The course is a great opportunity to update IP topics from the perspective of the lawyer, judge, and expert”, added Renata Lisboa.
The syllabus includes three modules:
- Industrial property
- Extravagant Protections
- Legal Measures.
The course will be taught on the Zoom platform, starting on August 24th and ending on December 5th. Classes will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 9 am to 12 pm, totaling 30 hours.
