​​7th ABPI Sectional Event – DF and GO Sections

ABPI presents another Sectional Event. This time, the event is organized by the Distrito Federal and Goiás Sections and will focus on the theme “IP Tech Day.” It is scheduled for June 29th at 9:45 am (BRT) and will be held in person at the Auditorium of Carraro Advogados Associados, located at 443 Rua 88, Setor Sul, in Goiânia.

The event will feature three presentations:

•   The IP Registration System in Brazil and Trademark Protection Journey, with Sérgio Ribeiro da Silva, an IP agent from Brasilia.
•   Protection of New Plant Varieties in Brazil: Importance, Requirements, and Differences between Registration and Cultivar Protection, by Caroline Rodrigues Paié, Environmental Chemist/USP and Patent Analyst from São Paulo.
•   Defense of IP Rights through the Traditional Justice System and Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods, by Ana Paula de Aguiar Tempesta, Mediator, Arbitrator, and Expert from the ABPI Domain Name Dispute Resolution Chamber (CSD-ABPI).

The guests will be welcomed and moderated by Alexandre Müller Buarque Viveiros, ABPI Sectional Representative in Distrito Federal, and Fabio Carraro, ABPI Sectional Representative in Goiás.
