ABPI concluded a strong showing at the 2025 AIPPI World Congress, held from September 13 to 16 in Yokohama, Japan. Delegates and alternates of Brazil’s National Group—Gabriel Leonardos, Leonor Magalhães Galvão, Marcos Chucralla M. Blasi, Rodrigo Ouro Preto, Luiz Henrique do Amaral, Maria Pia Guerra, Marcio Merkl, Maria Inez Araujo de Abreu, and Pablo Borges Barbosa—took part in the Study Questions debates, submitted proposed amendments to draft resolutions, and actively participated in meetings of AIPPI’s Executive Committee.
Beyond formal voting, ABPI engaged in several side activities. ABPI President Gabriel Leonardos and Executive Director Erika Silla hosted representatives of international firms; among the visitors was Kitamura Schuichiro, President of AIPPI’s Japanese Group. ABPI also promoted the 46th International Congress on Intellectual Property, scheduled for August 2026 in Rio de Janeiro.
