A rich debate on Intellectual Property use with lawyers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and professionals from the startup market marked the “Sunset World IP Day: IP x Startups,” held on April 19 as part of the 10th ABPI Representations Event. Organized by the Pernambuco Section of ABPI, the meeting took place as part of the celebrations of World Intellectual Property Day (April 26). “The debate was a glimpse of what ABPI’s 44th International Congress on Intellectual Property will be like, the largest of its kind in Latin America,” commented the representative of the Pernambuco section, Ticiano Tôrres Gadêlha.
The event featured the participation of various IP professionals and speakers Dani Guedes Neves, an economist from the Research and Innovation Agency of the University of Pernambuco, São Paulo Unit; Gerino Xavier, President of Fenainfo, Seprope, advisor of Softex, and CEO of Bisa Tecnologia; Jaime Dantas, a lawyer specializing in Civil and Corporate Law; Ticiano Tôrres Gadêlha, a lawyer and ABPI’s sectional representative in Pernambuco; and Victor Macedo, a lawyer, member of the Digital Assets and Blockchain Committee (ABA) and the Pernambuco Digital Law League.
