ABPI – the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association – has been invited by the Federal Deputy Jandira Feghali (PCdoB-RJ) to attend the Public Hearing on Patents, within the scope of the Social Security and Family Commission, which will deal with the compulsory licensing of patents. Participants of the debate, which will take place on a date to be further scheduled, include Jorge Bermudez, a researcher at the National School of Public Health/Fiocruz; Renata Reis, from Médicos sem Fronteiras (Doctors Without Borders); Francisco Viegas Neves da Silva, from Drugs for Neglected Diseases (DNDi); Pedro Vilardi from the Working Group on Intellectual Property (GTPI); and Ronald dos Santos, from the National Federation of Pharmacists.
