ABPI has appointed the lawyer Filipe Fonteles to represent the entity in the National Council for the Protection of Personal Data and Privacy (CNPD) of the ANPD (National Data Protection Authority). With solid experience in the field, Fonteles is a member of ABPI’s Council, a professor at the Escola Superior de Direito (ESA – Superior School of Law of São Paulo), and author of the book “Protection of Personal Data in Business Activity”.
The CNPD is an advisory body, part of the ANPD structure, and composed of members of society and public authorities. Its main duties are to propose guidelines and provide subsidies for the preparation of the National Policy on Personal Data and Privacy.
