ABPI organizes the WIPO Summer School together with the WIPO office in Brazil and the BPTO – Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office. This year, the traditional course will bring the theme “Intellectual Property for the Agri-Food Sector”. The goal is to develop skills in intellectual property management for the agri-food sector, contributing to the training of academics, professionals, government officials, and managers of technological innovation centers to work in this area.
The summer course will be held online, lasting two weeks (from January 25th to February 2nd), and classes take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (BRT). ABPI members have a 50% discount on the registration fee, which is USD 50 for students and members and USD 100 for the other participants.
The program consists of lectures by renowned experts in the IP field, as well as case studies and group discussions on selected IP topics with a focus on the agri-food sector.
Participants who complete the program requirements will receive a certificate of participation. Applicants should preferably have successfully completed the WIPO General Intellectual Property Course (DL101PBR) before the registration deadline. Applicants who have completed said course will be given priority in the selection. Applicants must submit their registrations online along with resumes, motivation letters, and copies of their passports (or identity cards). Selected applicants will be notified a few days after the application deadline to proceed with the payment of the registration fee.
