On November 29th ABPI promoted at Mercury São Paulo Moema Times Square Hotel, breakfast with the theme “National Data Protection Authority – challenges and objectives”, with speakers José Antonio Ziebarth, of the Special Secretariat of Debureaucratization, Digital Management and Government of the Ministry of Economy; Flávia Mitri, from Uber Brasil; and Andreia Saad, from Grupo Globo. On the occasion, there was receptiveness in ABPI’s offer of technical assistance in setting up the agency, including participation in its boards.
Established within the scope of Law 13.853, which provides for personal data, sanctioned in August this year, the ANPD will have technical autonomy but will be linked to the Presidency of the Republic. It shall be composed of a board of five directors appointed by the President of the Republic, with terms of four years. Filipe Fonteles, Dirceu Pereira de Santa Rosa and José Mauro Decoussau Machado attended the event.
